Tampa Photographer...Janet Ramos Photography at the Kapok Event Center
First of all, thank you for visiting my blog to view these incredible images. You may have seen a post either on my FB or Instagram where I encourage my followers to visit my blog and there is a specific reason behind it. Social media compresses the size of files (which destroys the quality of images) for quick viewing, because of server space and all kinds of other tech stuff that we won’t get into. Here, each image is displayed with clear and intricate details. Blogging affords us photographers the chance to display our carefully crafted images in their ultimate glory. In a perfect world we would we would all view our photos on a high resolution monitor instead of a tiny little phone screen but hey, perhaps this little blog post will encourage you to at least come back and take a look on higher fidelity photography platforms. 😉 hint hint…come back and visit often.
So a little background on photographing Jennifer Lopez, :) I mean, Marisol who is a gorgeous pro-model in the Tampa Bay area. It was an absolute pleasure to work with someone who is well versed in posing. She mentioned that people tell her all the time how much she resembles the star and I completely agree. In my opinion, she can totally be JLo’s body double!
Recently, I participated with a group of models and photographers at the Kapok Special Event Center located in Clearwater, FL hosted by @Picturethis.contentday where I met and worked with some wonderfully creative people. Out of the 15 models, I was able to photograph Marisol and a few others that I will share soon. These kinds of events allow us to learn new techniques, slow down enough to create content that many times we don’t get to make during client sessions and to, most importantly, grow our network with like-minded colleagues. As new ideas come to mind, I may get brave enough to do a model call of my own and continue to cultivate my skills. 😊
