Motherhood Portraits - Tampa FL Photography
Just as the seasons change so do the seasons in our lives. From childhood to adulthood and parenthood to empty nesters, it’s important to slow down and enjoy the present moment before we find ourselves wishing we could go back. So be more intentional with the time you have with the ones you love the most.
This is why I advocate so heavily about investing in professional photography sessions. When I say invest, it means to plan for it. You might be wondering, “What is there to plan for?” I’ll break it down for you. Just keep scrolling and enjoy these beautiful motherhood images we captured as I explain the process.
What do you envision your photos to look like? Do you like candid shots vs posed shots? Do you prefer indoors or outdoors? City scapes or out in nature? The ideas are endless.
Talk to your family. Share your heart and tell them why this is important to you. Give them the details of the ideas you have in mind.
Search for a photographer who’s work resembles the ideas and photo style you have in mind. Meet with them, talk on the phone and build a relationship with this person before the shoot. Share your vision. Ask questions. Look at their work.
Don’t just go off of price or how many photos they’re going to give you. Quality over quantity!!!
Trust me this is sound advice from someone who has heard stories from dozens of people who have been unhappy with “going with the cheapest price”.
Once you’ve found the photographer for you then narrow down a date, the time, the location and what to wear.
Prep things ahead of time. Get those hair cuts, beards trimmed, iron your clothes the day before, clean off smudges off shoes, make sure nails are clean or polished and gather drinks and snacks to have on hand for the day of the shoot.
Practice smiling and get the kids excited!
Don’t stress! Things don’t always go as planned. Trust your photographer. You’ll always find images in your gallery you will cherish forever!
Have fun! Make the best of the day! Your joy and happiness will reflect in your photos a lot better that way.
